How It Works
First, you submit your work to Pencilhouse—we open FREE PUBLIC SUBMISSIONS around the 2nd-3rd of each month and stay open until we hit our submissions cap. If you’re a Pencilhouse patron, worry not—we are ALWAYS OPEN for patron submissions!
Once they receive your work, your volunteer critic reads your submission with care and prepares in-depth feedback meant to help develop your piece(s) and to assist you in taking your writing where you want it to go.
When we reach our submissions cap, we route your work to an experienced volunteer critic. Find out more about our critics here!
As soon as your critic wraps up their comments we’ll send them back to you via email. It’s that simple.
